It’s hardly surprising that Ashley Tisdale loves to shop. After all, the West Deal, New Jersey, native was first discovered in a mall when she was only 3 years old. “I was [there] with my mom” she recalls, “and this manager came up to us and asked if I wanted to be in commercials.” The answer, of course, was an emphatic "yes," and Ashley Tisdale was soon appearing in spots for big-name brands like J.C. Penney and T-Mobile. By the time she was 12, “Blondie” -- as she’s affectionately known -- had already toured the world as a leading cast member of Les Miserables and Annie.

Ashley Tisdale’s stellar stage work paved the way for a plethora of film and television projects, and she got the ball rolling in 1997 with a guest-starring role in the Omar Gooding series, Smart Guy. Additional parts followed in top-rated TV shows like 7th Heaven, Beverly Hills 90210, Boston Public, Charmed starring Alyssa Milano, and The Hughleys. She also received parts in films, such as A Bug’s Life (1998), Donnie Darko (2001) and Nathan's Choice (2001).

Also in 2006, Ashley played Maddie Fitzpatrick on another Disney production, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. It was followed by High School Musical 2 in 2007 and a third installment of the popular film debuted in 2008, High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
